A Heart-Shaped Pendant
France, circa 1900, probably LALIQUE
18K yellow gold (750/-), tested. Engraved RL. 6 small, rose-cut diamonds. 5 small, oval ruby cabochons. Coloured plique-à-jour enamel. Mirror cracked.
Circa 4.5 x 3.5 cm. Circa 20.3 g.
It is also known for pieces by René Lalique to be monogrammed.
The front of the pendant is decorated in fine green plique-à-jour enamel with a depiction of Psyche gracefully poised with two flower garlands. The pendant can be opened like a locket and has a small mirror inside.
