The central panel depicts the Crucifixion of Christ with Mary and Saints Mary Magdalene and John the Evangelist. On the outer wings, Saints Barbara and James the Elder, each with donors. On the closed wings Mary with Child and St. Anne Provenance: Phillips, London, auction 18 December 1984, cat.-no. 60 (offered there as circumscribed by Hans von Kulmbach and with a different frame. This frame is inscribed "In Memoriam Charles Hadfield ...") - 1984 - 1990 Colnaghi, London - 1994 sold by Galerie Henrich, Munich, to the present consignors as "Flemish c. 1520". Since then South German private collection.

THE JOURNEY OF JACOB FROM LABAN'S HOUSE
Laban's sons envied Jacob's wealth. They claimed that he had enriched himself at the expense of their father. In this situation, God said to Jacob, "Return to the land of your fathers and to your kin! I am with you." With Laban's daughters, Rachel and Leah, he set out for Canaan. Jan Erasmus Quellinus depicts a scene in which Jacob is resting with his wives and some of his children, with him also two servants as camel guides.

MAGIC of the white rose
No one has to travel to Berlin to acquire this trophy: In the September auction, NEUMEISTER in Munich is auctioning a large-format original drawing by Johann Georg Hossauer (1794-1874). It served as a model for a magnificent lidded goblet, which the famous goldsmith produced in three versions for the high nobility. In memory of the legendary "Magic of the White Rose" celebration on the occasion of the birthday of Empress Alexandra Feodorowna on 13 July 1829 in Berlin.
