Signed lower right, dated 1853 and inscribed with place name München. Canvas stamp A. Schutzmann, München verso. Oil on canvas. 78 x 106 cm. Restored. Minor damage to frame (91 x 118.5 cm).
Adrian Scherrer, Wädenswil, confirmed the authenticity of the present hitherto unpublished painting in a message to the previous owner.
