Signed and dated (18)50 lower right. Indistinctly inscribed "Disponent Kunsthändler Kagelmann / Magdeburg (...)" on the stretcher verso. Oil auf canvas. 35.5 x 40 cm. Restored. Craquelure. Minor damage to frame (64 x 58.5 cm).

Main 1979, page 236, catalogue raisonné number 83: "Ein Teil des Kreuzgangs des Magdeburger Doms" (without illustration or dimensions). This painting, presented at the Berlin Academy exhibition in 1852, is probably identical to the present painting.
