(Portrait of Charlotte Baroness Oven), half figure seen from the rear, her head turned towards her right shoulder to face the viewer, in a loose-fitting, ivory silk gown with tassels at the back, wearing a headdress of vine leaves, redcurrant and carnation. Inscribed on the verso "Charlotte Baronin Oven geb. v. Hagen, gemalt von Jos. Stieler 1850" (Baroness Charlotte Oven, nee Von Hagen, painted by Jos. Stieler 1850) Oil on canvas. 73.5 x 59 cm. Restored. Minor damage to frame. Provenance: Weinmueller, Munich, auction sale 171, 27-28 October 1976, lot no. 1390 (repr. table 85). - private collection.
