A Goblet with Cover
Augsburg, 1630 - 1632, attributed to Abraham Mair
Gilt silver. Hammered, chiselled and embossed vine and flower decoration. Gold-plated metal insert. Hallmarked on cuppa, cover and foot (Seling 2007, hallmark number 410, makers mark number 1548), master circa 1648, died in 1670. Small tension crack at the cuppa edge, cover knob was added later.
