Remnants of two adhesive labels with illegible handwritten inscription on the stretcher. Oil auf canvas. 73 x 91.5 cm. Relined. Restored. Minor damage. Minor damage to frame (93 x 113 cm).
Verkleinernde Wiederholung von Palmas Gemälde in San Francesco della Vigna, Venedig (Öl auf Leinwand 103 x 135 cm). Vgl. zu diesem Mason Rinaldi, Stefania, Palma il Giovane. Lopera completa. Mailand 1984, WVZ-Nr. 368 (mit Abb. 366). Eine weitere Wiederholung des Themas wird als eigenhändige Arbeit des Künstlers im Katalog der Fondazione Zeri, Bologna, geführt (Nr. 43065). Dieses Gemälde befand sich 1963/64 beim Kunsthändler Giovanni Salocchi in Florenz. Es liegen keine Maßangaben vor, das Gemälde ist nur in Form einer SW-Fotografie überliefert.
