There is a statement from Nadja Garthoff, Rijksbureau voor kunsthistorische Documentatie, The Hague, 19 May 2021: The RKD considers it reasonable to locate the creation of the present painting to the circle of Jakob Adriaensz Backer.
Provenance: Collection of the artist Anton Seitz (1829 Roth - 1900 Munich). - Family-owned since then.
