Provenance: Hermann von Beisler (1790 - 1859), former District President of Lower Bavaria and President of the Bavarian Supreme Court of Auditors, ennobled by Louis I in 1847. Beisler lived in Munich with his wife Therese Canisius from the early 1830s, and possibly because the original frame is still present, the painting was purchased directly from Heinrich Adam. - Since then by succession in the family estate in South Germany.
