Rosewood case with red velvet lining. Upper side of lid with brass adornments with "IHR" monogram and small retractable handle. 25 x 19.5 x 12.5 cm (9.8 x 7.7 x 4.9 in.)

Interior with many sub-divsions, various sizes. Contents includes: travel inkpot, writing materials, quill, glass vials with silver tops, manicure set in 800 part silver, pearl buttons. Underside of lid fitted with mirror, pocket for letters.
