We would like to thank Prof. Peter Humfrey, Emeritus of the University of St. Andrews / School of Art History, for his kind support during cataloguing. Based on photographs, Peter Humfrey sees the present painting as a work from Veroneses close follower, and does not rule out that it was created in the masters workshop. Humfrey brings Alvise de Friso, the artists nephew, into the discussion as a possible creator. However, Prof. Diana Gisolfi, The Pratt Institute, New York, whom we would also like to thank for her support, excludes Alvise de Friso as executive artist.
