Signed with the monogram DZ lower right. Oil on canvas. 131,5 cm. Relined and restored. Minor defects. Frame slightly damaged.
The monogram erroneously refers to Domenico Zampieri, il Domenichino, who created another version of the subject in the Galleria Doria Pamphilj (Rome), which is not comparable in style to the present painting.
