A Horizontal Table Clock
Augsburg, circa 1700, attributed to Johann Chr. Schöner
Fire gilt bronze. Cover plate with engraved floral decoration and silver-coloured ring with Roman numerals. Single handed. Crown wheel escapement with chain and fusee. Count wheel striking mechanism on open bottom bell. Plate with florally engraved skeleton balance cock, inscribed Johannes (Schöner?). Restored. 8.5 x 14.5 x 13 cm.
