A Silver Screw-Top Canister
Augsburg, 1669 - 1679, Paul Solanier
Silver, partly gilt. Eight-sided barrel shape with punched spandrels, on four pressed ball feet, hinged handle. The body centrally engraved with a monogram and a coronet. Engraved monogram "A.E.F.V.Z." on the base. Hallmarked on base and lid (Seling 2007, hallmark number 730 and 770, makers mark number 1669), application for the master title 1665, died 1724. Assayers marks. Ball feet slightly misshapen. Height 16 cm. 338 grams.
