Nymphenburg, circa 1850, painted by Ferdinand Le Feubure after a design by Wilhelm von Kaulbach
Porcelain. Gold decoration. In two reserves on the sides of the well, it is inscribed Reineke Fuchs von Göthe, W. Kaulbach inv., gem v. F. le Feubure. Impressed mark with asterisk and supplementary marks. Diameter 21 cm. Two more plates with episodes from Goethes Reynard the Fox from the Wittelsbach private collection were donated to the Bavarian National Museum (inventory numbers 2016/211 and 2016/212), where they are displayed in the permanent exhibition.Provenance: from King Ludwig Is possessions of Bavaria. - Wittelsbach private collection.
