Paris, Louis XV, probably mid-18th century, Gille LAiné

 

Gilt bronze case, partly burnished. Enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals. 8-day movement. Pendulum with thread suspension. Countwheel striking the half hours on a bell. Dial and brass plate inscribed "Gille LAiné a Paris". Key. Hairline cracks to dial. 42 x 30 x 16 cm.
