Handwritten attribution to "Kremser Schmidt" (= Martin Johann Schmidt, 1718 Grafenwörth - 1801 Stein an der Donau) on the frame verso. Oil auf metal (tinplate). 17.8 x 13.5 cm. Minor damage to frame (23 x 19 cm).
Condition: the edges of the metal plate are rounded. Paint loss over the nimbus of Mary. Rubbing to paint layer at the lower left margin. Varnish renewed. Various retouches visible under UV light, especially notable on the figure of Saint Joachim.Drying cracks and paint loss on the frame.
