Handwritten inscription "Liselotte von der Pfalz" and handwritten number "[1]721 / 32 / 58" verso. Oil auf copper. 6.8 x 5.5 cm (in the oval). Damage to frame (9.5 x 8 cm, in the oval).
Elisabeth Charlotte Prinzessin von der Pfalz (1652 Heidelberg - 1722 Saint-Cloud bei Paris) war die älteste Tochter von Kurfürst Karl I. Ludwig von der Pfalz und Charlotte von Hessen-Kassel. Durch ihre Ehe mit Philippe I. von Bourbon, Duc dOrléans, wurde sie Schwägerin des französischen Königs Ludwig XIV.
Condition: small hole on the upper margin for the attachment to a base. Minor chips of the paint layer (partly restored) in the background. Colour flaking in the bodice. Gilt frame with losses of paint.
