Watercolour and opaque paints auf ivory. The miniature is backed with stronger paper, and the sitters hair is carefully placed around the miniature. Diameter 6.7 cm. Damage to gilt brass frame (diameter 8 cm), glass missing verso.
Sales permit for the EU internal market has been obtained.A CITES authorisation is required for export to countries outside the EU internal market. We would like to point out that this authorisation is not usually granted.
Condition: minor rubbing of the paint layer on the upper end of the tree trunk on the left. Scratches on the frame and the front glass, the back glass is missing.
