A SILVER OIGNON PAIR CASE POCKET WATCH
Utrecht, circa 1715, DUQUESNE
Silver. Makers marks and French Hallmarks for Silver 800 after 1838. Dial and movement signed Duquesne, Uttrecht. Later artificial glass, later chain, the regulation is missing, the key is missing.
Diameter circa. 5.4 cm. Circa 129.55 g.
Foliate decoration to the case. Silvered champlevé dial with painted black Roman hour numerals, black outer minute track with Arabic five minute markers, original steel hands. Fusee verge movement. Pierced and engraved French balance bridge and ornamented pillars.
