THIRTY-NINE PIECE "HAUSMALER" MEISSEN TRAVEL SERVICE
second quarter of the eighteenth century, overglaze decoration in gold in the style of the Seuter workshop, Augsburg. Porcelain. Staffage in gold, fine lace edging in gold. Decorated in underglaze blue and etched gold. Rock and bird motifs. Leather-upholstered travel trunk with the embossed coat-of-arms of the Albani family. Blue crossed swords marks, porcelain painters marks in gold and in blue, impressed numbering. Some restoration, rubbing. Comprising a coffee pot, a teapot, a sugar caddy, six coffee cups, twelve small tea bowls and eighteen saucers. According to the former owner from the collection of King Charles III of Spain and his consort Maria Amalie von Sachsen.
