A DIAMOND AND SAPPHIRE SET RING
Germany, circa 1880
14K yellow gold and silver, tested. 4 octagonal-cut diamonds, altogether circa 0.40 carats, 12 small variously old-cut diamonds. 1 ceylon-cut sapphire of circa 1.50 carats, beautiful bright blue. 2 of the diamonds are minimally damaged. The sapphire has some minor nicks to the edges of some of the facets.
