An Enamel and Cultured Pearl Bracelet
France or Germany, circa 1850
18K yellow gold (750/-), tested. Painted enamel. 225 white cultured pearls, diameter circa 4.5 - 4.9 mm. There are some minor dents to the underside of the central enamel element. The painted enamel has some minor areas of damage.
Length circa 18 cm. Circa 82.20 g.
Accompaniments: fitted box.
The central enamel element is designed in a stylised floral form, the petals being decorated with flowers and fruits. The bordering pieces are similarly and decorated in very finely painted enamel with musical instrument tropaions. The unusual motif of musical instruments suggests the original owner enjoyed a great love of music.
