We wish to draw your attention to the fact that all business relations and transactions between the seller, Neumeister and the buyer are conducted within the set Terms and Conditions of Neumeister’s Auctions as well as in compliance with the requirements of the seller’s Consignment Contract.

AUCTION DATES
GWe are always happy to receive your consignments for the upcoming auctions. For information on the categories and dates of individual auctions, please refer to Auction Dates.

EVALUATIONS
When you consign your work of art to us, we will carry out an evaluation free of charge. You may submit works of art by making an appointment with us.
An initial, non-binding and free appraisal of the items may also be obtained by sending us photographic material. We ask that you send images along with adequate descriptions of the items such as measurements, techniques and possible damages. You may send these per post or in digital format (jpg file) together with a completed Consignment Form.
BImportant artworks, collections and bequests may be evaluated by one of our specialists at a chosen address following prior arrangement.
We would also be happy to make evaluations of a personal nature concerning inheritance, damage or insurance.

CONSIGNMENT
We request that all artworks be submitted approximately eight weeks prior to the appropriate auction date. Upon submitting the original artwork, an estimate as well as a reserve price will be agreed upon.
By signing the auction contract between Neumeister as commission agent and you as the consignor you accept the Terms and Conditions of the Auction. The signature on the contract makes the transaction of the consignment legally binding.

INSURANCE
Every art object that is submitted to us for auction is insured at the assessed and agreed upon estimated price and at a rate of 0.5% of the estimated price (plus insurance tax). Status: July 2008.

ARTIST’S RESALE RIGHTS
A resale royalty is payable to the Ausgleichsvereinigung KUNST on all transactions of original works of visual art dated after 1900. This fee is shared equally by the auction house, seller and bidder.

CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Every item that is submitted for auction initially receives a lot number.
IIn the cataloguing process, each lot receives its own catalogue number, description and agreed-upon estimated price.
The image depicted in the catalogue is agreed upon during submission of the item.
The catalogue for the appropriate auction is sent to the client approximately three weeks prior to the auction date.

PREVIEW
Apart from the catalogue description, each object is displayed in a preview which takes place before the auction. Here, potential buyers may inspect all objects personally.

AUCTION
Each lot is submitted into the appropriate auction with its assigned catalogue number. We are happy to advise you on the timing and the process of the auction.
Following the auction, you (consignor) will receive a statement listing the results of the sale of your lot.

POST-AUCTION SALES
Up to three weeks after the auction, offers may be placed on any unsold items during a post-auction sale. The sale price in this case is the reserve agreed upon by the seller.
